Youth sports baffle me sometimes.
OK, not sometimes, quite frequently.
What is the point in a GROWN adult male telling a bunch of 10 year olds the following:
"There is no way you should lose to this team. They are terrible. They are 1-6. I expect a win"
(conversation of opposing coach as overheard by one of our team parents)
Mr. ASSumpution...meet Mr. Crow (not).
Mr. Crow? Yes. That would be YOU. As in eat some.
For those keeping score...... MY BamBam scored the winning run. stole it on their pitcher.
And Mr. ASSumption/Crow(not) failed to do his research. Yes... my oldest's son team WAS 1 and 6.
They also lost EVERY single one of their games by ONE run.
Not exactly a bunch of deadbeats.
Nothing makes me madder than when parents act like assholes and embarrass their kids and generally act more juvenile than the kids themselves. Pathetic.
AND
Nothing makes me happier than when a bunch of KIDS serve up a screaming hot dish of CROW to those ADULTS who can not wrap their brains around the concept of good sportsmanship.
Civility. Grace. Good manners.
I have been trying REALLY hard to gently pound this mantra into my kiddos heads and hearts every day.
and hopefully the chicks that will be flying from my coop won't be crows.

Hooray for serving up a dish of what he deserves. I feel so horrible for kids of parents like that. They have no other example of how to act. It's sad.
write a freaking book already! lol...
