Let me introduce you to the three most hated words in my "southern" vocab....the dreaded WSC. As in..................

I WOULD have made a great actress
I SHOULD have gone out for the dance team
I COULD have been a Supastah

WSC...let's have a moment of silence for my and your personal WSC's and then kick that ole piece of baggage to the curb and talk about what we Know For Sure. Because we are all strong, intelligent, beautiful women who have a lot to share and it's time to let our lights SHINE!

So here we go, my top three "What I know for Sure"


1) Love

People come and people go. But the love you share is just a drop in the bucket compared to what you are given.

2) Family

Family comes in many forms,

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone.

Mother, Father, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles. Those who watch, those who teach, those who protect, those who love unconditionally.

Or SHOULD
but WON'T
or CAN'T

Then, oh then, comes heart of my heart.

Spouses, children, friends. People you choose or who more importantly, choose YOU!

People who teach you lessons in love and life when you are "in the moment" and when you "are zoned out". When you are sad and when you are happy. When you are at your most unlovable or in your moments of absolute triumph and joy.

3) FAITH

And this paraphrased and modernized from a Hindu teaching

There are hundreds of paths up the mountain,
all leading in the same direction,
so it doesn't matter which path you take.
The only one wasting time is the one
who runs around and around the mountain,
telling everyone that his or her path is wrong.
