Busted!

Weehoo...it's "Busta Move" Truth or Dare Friday at the AOA!

(cue evil chuckle)....this is going to be SO fun!

So my challenge to all of you today and I do mean ALL of you, not just the SG challenge gals. I want all lurkers and posters to play. Heck I want you to come and play all the time...but seriously, I REALLY want ALL of you in on this one!

Today.... I want you to FESS UP to a time in your life when someone held the proverbial "mirror" to your face and made you see something in yourself through another person's eyes.

It can be:

hilarious or
embarassing or
ridiculous or
silly or
recent or
Whatever!

Just share a "BUSTED" moment!

In case you all haven't picked up on this little factoid already...all these challenges I come up with are completely lifted from my everyday life.

Yes siree bob....which just goes to prove that EVERYONE has something to blog about because I guarantee you if a middle age mom of two boys from the Deep South burbs, who works in the legal profession, can come up with stuff to blog about, SO CAN YOU!

Okay...pompoms down! Ready set? You bet!

I'll take "Most Recent Busted" moment for $500 Alex

Rewind to Tuesday afternoon. I ask BamBam to bring me his study guide for his Maniac Magee comprehensive test that he's going to have in a week. Ever read Maniac? If not I highly recommend it. Excellent book for the 8 to 12 year old demographic. Great life lessons. Newberry Award winner. And hey it's got heavy baseball/life allegories so my son totally dug it!

Sorry, plug over.

On it? A section is dedicated to multiple choice. YES! Huge fan of multiple choice back in the day....obviously displaying an early affinity for deductive reasoning skills (cough, cough) that are serving me well now.

So I start with the first question

"The suitcase that Amanda Beale carries is"

a) blue and green plaid
b) a gift from her grandmother
c) used to hold her books
d) kept on her closet shelf

BamBam looks at me with a totally straight, serious face and says

"That would be C...used to hold her books...final answer"

Oh

my

god

Nothing like being busted on my obsession of watching "Who wants to be a Millionaire" in the afternoon with my boys.

I laughed so hard I almost had a Depends moment.

But on the bright side...they are SO going to kick major butt at Trivial Pursuit in the future!

Lisa, you are a riot! It's a great bust. Not one that you have to worry about leaving some scar on a developing personality about lol!

Who is BamBam? And does Pebbles figure into this story also?
I think it shows a very keen attention span and strong listening skills!
