I am conflicted. I am on the horns of a dilemma. My loyalies are torn.
Family, job, friends, a deep questioning of faith.... you ask?????
No.
I am so superficial....it's all about the 6 to 7 PM timeslot.
In this corner, RayRay...the SUPASTAH of 30 Minute Meals (bowing to Wendy for that infinitely quotable tag line) Cute, perky, fabulous ideas, yummy food, makes me feel all warm and giggly inside.
Or
The contender. Martha. A trademark in and of herself. Impeccable, pitch perfect instructions, cold, a weeetle bit scary, trying to revmp her "image".
Side note. I have a soft spot for Martha.
Her book "Weddings" came out the year I was married. My MIL had a gourmet cooking store back in 87. I had a very "Martha" wedding. Basketweave cake, fresh flowers, twinkle fairy lights, big white tent on the lawn of the church, under a 200 year old oak tree. People still talk about it almost 20 years later.
So who (whom, who??where's my mother when I need her?) do I love?
I REALLY need TIVO (or just get off my sorry, lazy tush and program the VCR)
Naaaaaaaaaaaaagggggghhhh...rather blog and angst about it.

Mind Meld in full working order:
I have this issue every day. My bigger problem is that I have no way to record one thing and watch another... weird cable hookup thing. I hate it. I think I have decided that RayRay is the winner for the first half hour because Martha only talks to people I don't care about and the don't really do anything. The second half hour of Marth is where it's at. The best of both worlds..... But it was rough going there for about a week.
Hmmm... Wendy's suggestion sounds superb to me. I'd vote for Martha, if I had to choose just one. She may come after you if you aren't careful.
I skip both and watch King of Queens reruns from 6-7PM if I'm home. LOL! [ducking head and scooting to the end of the couch away from objects being tossed at me!]
I'm slowly getting hooked on Tivo though (thanks Joel!) I love backing up live tv to find out "what did she just say?"
