Football?

So here in this region known as the Deep South of the good ole U S of A, we have this thang called Football.

Which involves lots of big boys/men smashing into each other, whilst legions of hardcore fans engage in professional drinking contests, high priced haggling over tickets and debates over who has the most kick ass tailgate spread.

Then we have the rest of the world.

As in World Cup....soccer as we like to call it across the pond.

And lest you think that we, in the land of Dixie, are completely ignorant bafoons, "football" south of the Mason Dixon line is hotter than a wool coat on a July day.

Case in point.

Hubby goes to play church league softball today at a big sports complex that is usually also teeming with similarily age specific soccer players.

Today? Nadda. They are all at home, coozie in hand (one would presume) watching the World Cup.

At least according to the folks who run said primo sports facility.

HEH

Today.... US of A vs the Czech Republic 12PM EST ABC

Play on!
